My boy!

Aiden is 5 1/2, so almost 6. How on earth do I have an almost 6 year old? Where have the past 6 years gone?
We got his report card today for the 3rd Quarter of Kindergarten. He is doing so well! :) The teacher even put in her comments that he's one of her "favorite students" :) Makes me feel good knowing he such a good kid, especially since the academic side of school hasn't been easy for him.
I LOVE his heart! He has the sweetest personality and the biggest heart! He absolutely adores his sister and tells me every day how much he loves me. It just melts my heart when he tells me EVERY NIGHT how I always "make the best dinner".

Aiden's goofy smile after telling me how good tonight's dinner was :)

Today we were in Safeway and he was asking for something and I said no, he asked why, and stated "because I'm a mean mom". Of course my sweet boy says, "no you're not, you're the best mom!" Even when he's not getting what he wants he still such a sweet boy!!
Here are a few pictures of my sweet boy on his "big boy hike" with daddy this past Sunday! He had a blast!!

Boys!

So today was a "boy" day for Aiden and Ben. They got up early and got ready to go, very UNquietly ;). Then they went to Sabino Canyon to hike, where Aiden almost fell in the water.
Then they came home and played video games together, now they're at the park playing together. Makes my heart happy!! <3

So while the boys were doing boy stuff, us girls, Addison and I, went shopping! Not as exciting as you may be thinking though. We went to Walgreens and CVS so mommy could get her "freebie" fix, and then met Aunt Tiffany at Costco. We did enjoy some yummy hotdogs for lunch though!

Now I'm getting ready for the family to come over for Grandma Rachel's birthday dinner!

Hope you had a great Sunday!

Growing up is hard to do!!

I've recently decided that I have to accept the fact that my baby is growing up!
Now that she's 2, I guess I need to stop calling her my baby, even though that is what she will always be!

I can't believe how fast she has grown up! It seems like I just blinked and she was 2!

Now that she's 2, she seems like a little person! She talks very clearly and constantly! And now we're going to start potty training in a couple weeks. I think she's ready since she can now tell me, "Mom, I pooped!"!

I also love that she is a girl, and a very girlie-girl! :) She loves having her toenails painted just like mommy!

Aiden is growing up way too fast too!! He's 5 1/2 and in Kindergarten and is truly a little man now!

And I must say, he's terribly handsome ;)

My beautiful baby girl is 2! I can't believe it!! Where did the time go?

She loves her baby dolls!!

Happy Big Brother!!

Auntie about ready to pop!!

Presents!!

Cake!!

We had a great day! Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!!

The Tooth Fairy!

The tooth fairy came to our house tonight!! The tooth fairy brought some new toothbrushes, some new toothpaste, gum, and $3.00!

When thinking about what Aiden should get for his first tooth, I thought about what everyone else has done. When I was teaching 2nd grade, my 2nd graders would tell me that they got around $20 a tooth! Well, this tooth fairy can't afford that!

We'll see how much he gets for the next tooth!

What is it about toothless kids that make them so cute?? :)

Nissan!!

So Martin Luther King Jr. day was supposed to be a relaxing day of getting stuff done. I had Addison at her new babysitters for the day, and my mom was going to spend the day with Aiden. So I started the day by taking my Blazer to Brake Max for an oil change, pretty normal right?!Well there isn't anything normal when it comes to my Blazer.
So I get a call from Brake Max to come look at a few things regarding the vehicle. The guy starts off by showing me how he can wiggle and move one of the tires and some other things under there (can you tell I know a lot about cars?), so I'm thinking okay, it wiggles, so what? Well he tells me it's NOT supposed to do it at all and mine is doing it A LOT. Then shows me some other things that shouldn't be happening. Okay, it's fixable right? Yes it's fixable, for around $2000! WHAT?!?! I don't have $2000, and I don't think it's even worth that much!
So now the freaking out and stress sets in. Of course I call Ben to see what he wants to do and he's working so he can't talk about it now. Lovely.
So Ben gets home a little early from work cause it's a holiday, supposed to be a nice relaxing afternoon with no work, sorry babe! We end up deciding it's time trade the Blazer in. After going to 2 dealerships we settle on a 2011 Nissan Sentra. Brand spankin' new and RED!! We get a GREAT deal on it, and we drive it off the lot at 9 PM Monday night, with kids in tow. Yes, I'm the worst mother ever, keeping my kids up that late on a school night. But they got to eat popcorn and crackers at the dealership, and that counts as dinner right?
Anyway, some fun info...my first car ever was a Nissan Sentra! :) So now we're back with Nissan and LOVE it! Here are a couple of some not so hot pictures of my HOT car! :)
